Beginning his academic journey at Princeton University, Dr. Smith graduated magna cum laude, setting a strong foundation for his future in medicine. He then pursued his medical degree at the prestigious NYU School of Medicine, where he developed a deep understanding of the field.

Dr. Smith continued his training with rigorous residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at NYU Medical Center, one of the nation’s top medical institutions. These formative years allowed him to hone his surgical skills and build a solid base in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

His commitment to excellence in surgery led him to further specialize through fellowships in craniofacial surgery at NYU Medical Center and in microsurgery and breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Smith has established himself as a leader in the field of plastic surgery with outstanding reviews. His dedication to the craft is reflected not only in his successful private practice in Long Island but also in his academic contributions as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and at Weill Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Smith’s approach to cosmetic surgery is also deeply influenced by his appreciation for art. His study of art history at Princeton, combined with drawing classes at the Art Students League and School of Visual Arts in New York, underscores his belief that plastic surgery is as much an art as it is a science.
